   Czech Immigrant Passenger Lists from as early as 1834, 'Kroj' (Ethnic costume) patterns, and many books by and about Czechs attract those interested in genealogy, Czech and American history to Clarkson's Library.  A complete obituary index from 1908 on , local newspapers from their beginning on microfilm, and many other resources are available.  This home of 10,000 + volumes, audio and videotapes has public access Internet computers, FAX , copier, laminator, email service, microfilm reader and printer.

Dvoracek Memorial Library in Wilber, Nebraska  (402) 821-2832  

                The Dvoracek Memorial Library houses the Czech Heritage Room and other exhibits that mirror the keen interest of the community in preserving the memory of its ancestors, their language and customs. The Czech Heritage Room has many books written in Czech and books about the Czech people, history and culture.  It also contains portraits of notable Czech people and places.  Included in its resources are old and new maps of Czechosolovakia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bohemia., along with jewelry, needlework, glassware and other artifacts.   Those interested in locating traditional kroje (folk costumes) patterns or pictures by region will find those at the Czech Heritage Room. 

                Other research sources may be found at the informal libraries created by some of the chapters of the Nebraska Czechs.
