August 23rd & 24th, 2008
Friends of the Czech program at UNL
We have two activities you can get involved in even before the school starts.
On Saturday, August 23, 2008, you can join the Czech Language Foundation for a dinner. The gathering will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Knolls in Lincoln at 11:00 a.m. You will meet people who are active in the maintaining of the Czech heritage in Nebraska. Lunch and buffet are served at that time. Please, RSVP, or e-mail me by the 20th of August, if you plan to attend. The cost is $12:50 per person. And the buffet is glorious.
On Sunday, August 24th, the Czech Komensky Club, student club of people interested in things Czech, will hold a table in the Welcome Big Red, at 5 -7 PM at the loop (14th and Vine st.). If you can come and help, let us know at 472 1336. There will be many vendors and freebies.
The number of our table is: 313. It is on the south(ish) side, in the (almost) middle of the loop. We hope to see you there.
One of the teachers: Mila Saskova-Pierce
